The Impact Of The Solar Storm

The sun is predicted to reach its maximum activity in a few years. Scientists believe that our planet will be hit with unprecedented levels of magnetic energy caused by the charged particles of the solar flare. This may take place sometime late 2013 or early 2014.

This event will greatly impact our lives due to our heavy reliance on electronic devices which are pretty much sensitive to magnetic energy. What's alarming is the huge possibility of the overheating of the National power grids. Navigation devices and major satellites could stop working, air travel will be severely disrupted and it could damage everything such as hospital equipments, banking systems, air traffic control devices, home computers, mobile phones and everything electronic including electricity power.  Dr. Fisher, director of Nasa's Heliophysics division said these flares will change the magnetic field on the earth due to the effect of the solar flare activity.

A severe economic impact is being thought of. But how severe it's gonna be, no one can really tell.

According to The Telegraph news. "Britain could face widespread power blackouts and be left without critical communication signals for long periods of time, after the earth is hit by a once-in-a-generation "space storm". Nasa Warned.
